Soy Yung and the Boy concepts

Sorry for the overload of concept art/ half assed illustration.
I drew the 2 main characters from my first screenplay, “Soy Yung and the Kingdom”, if u remember. Its that screenplay I wrote about 2001 North Korea- about some dingus janitor named Ong Soy Yung (The tall bloke) finding a young escapee from Yodok, a north Korean gulag. I really should do concept of recognizable North Korean sites, instead of just these 2 people…
I actually really like these characters, idk why I never showed them to yall- Soy Yung is an all around sweetheart, a citizen of the showcase capitol Pyongyang, naive of is inadequate state of living. He has a plethora of health problems- a former smoker, a scoliosis sufferer, mildly malnourished (as is common in the DPRK), and wears a platform shoe to support his shorter leg. He aint too bright neither, not the sharpest cookie in the shed; his ‘stupididy’ either operates under his own naive personality or his fear to deviate from strict DPRK norms. Soy Yung is such a fuggin cutie, I love him, I really do.
The boy he finds is nameless, and in the beginning is of mysterious origin. After escaping Yodok he hopped a train to his hometown of Pyongyang supposedly to die, until he was found and rehabilitated by Soy Yung. The boy is nameless the whole story, and refrains on giving any personal information about himself, due to his life being in danger for defecting. The boy is 17 going on 18, but is looks much much younger due to the chronic malnutrition he suffered throughout his life, and is missing two fingers , supposedly cut off by officers during an interrogation of some sort. The boy is a cynical little bastard with a permanent grimace on his face, trying to sustain his ego despite being a young adult of such childlike stature, and dealing with the trauma of losing his family to and being tortured by the government he is expected to worship. Though he is extremely grateful for Soy Yung’s help and companionship, he still finds himself seeing Soy Yung as intellectually inferior, and clueless of the injustices going on around him.
Though when they are relocated from Pyongyang under mysterious circumstances, their relationship takes a strange turn. As the boy grows to depend more on Soy Yung for survival and for human kindness, he grows a romantic and sexual attraction towards Soy Yung, and weakens his secretive and cynical defenses, though Soy Yung seems totally unaware of this. That is until the boy begins to make sexual advanced toward Soy Yung, which is a shit shit right there. Soy Yung loves the boy, but like a father loves a son, not like a partner. Their relationship is thus put to the test as they face persecution, and their love for one another despite being on two totally different planes becomes what they try to survive for.
kinda creepy, huh? It should be- some kid you take in and think of as family wanting to have sex with you is a tricky thing.
